The Heliport occupies an area of 10 acres. The facility can accommodate up to & including performance category 6 (27 000kg) helicopters. Benoni Heliport has 5 reinforced concrete park bays with adequate space for additional parking of 8 helicopters on grass pads. The facility has perimeter security fencing and parking area for 35 vehicles. There are restrooms & a PAX waiting area.

The Benoni Heliport offers private & commercial helicopter operators the opportunity to base their services out of a de-conjested Helistop. The Benoni Heliport is in close proximity to the Gauteng 2010 World Cup Attractions & is located in the eastern corridor to the Kruger Park, numerous Private Game Farms & Resort Hotels. Benoni Heliport is 11km ESE of Johannesburg / OR Tambo International Airport.
